If you are not already a library member you will need to join an East Riding of Yorkshire library


Create a new account to access eComics.

*If you have already registered for eMagazines or eAudiobooks you can use the same log in details for your eComics. If so, skip this section. If not, please carry on.

Visit our eComics and eMagazine landing page and select the 'Create New Account' link at the top right of the page. Follow the registration process. When you have completed your registration go to the eComics website by selecting the link.


How do I choose an eComic to download?
Once you are on the eComics website and logged in, use the Search box or any of the top menu headings to find the eComic you want.

Select More Info to read a description of the eComic.
Select View Preview to look at a short preview of the eComic.
Select Checkout to read it straight away.


How do I read my eComic?
You can select Read Now and read it online straight away.


Can I read my eComic offline?
Yes, but only on Apple or Android devices. Go to your relevant app store, search for and install: Comics Plus Library Edition

Unfortunately an App has not yet been developed for Kindle Fire or Kindle Fire HD. You can only read eComics online using these devices.


How long is the eComic loan period?
It is defaulted to a seven day loan. You can renew the eComic for a further seven days from the date of renewal. If your loan has expired you can download the eComic again.


Do libraries have WiFi?
Yes. All our static libraries have free unlimited WiFi.


Do I have to come to this page every time I want to visit the eComics website?
No. We suggest you Bookmark / Add to Favourites the eComics and eMagazine landing page to your browser.

If you have downloaded the Comics Plus Library Edition App for iPad and iPhone you can use this to manage your account and eComics selection.
