 New Writing North are offering a free and friendly monthly online space for anyone to come and write for an hour. Dedicating an hour of time is a simple but powerful way of conquering the empty page. Come with an open mind and make use of optional writing prompts, or bring your work-in-progress and settle in for an hour, alongside fellow writers.

Literature Map is another tool that will help you discover your next great read. Type in the name of your favourite author and the names that appear in the cluster nearest to them are most similar in style. Why not start exploring?

East Riding Libraries welcomes suggestions to add items to our library stock. Please note that not all purchase suggestions can be honoured, but we do consider them all.

Instructions

2. Then complete and submit the form that will appear below.

In a few days you will be notified by email whether your purchase suggestion was accepted.

If your purchase suggestion is for a hard copy item e.g. paperback, hardback, and is accepted, you will automatically be placed on the reservation list for that item.

If your purchase suggestion is for digital items i.e. eBook, eAudiobook, and is accepted, due to software limitations we are unable to add you to the reservation list for that item. We will however inform you when the item will be available and you can download it or reserve it yourself.
